Can you
imagine what your teeth would look like if you didn’t
brush them for years at a time? This applies to your pet
also. You should help you pet with some form of dental
care.
Your
pet could have broken teeth, oral tumors, gum disease or
abscessed teeth.
These conditions can cause a lot of pain if not detected
early.
The
most common disease is periodontitis. This can result in
bacterial infections. Then you end up with plaque and
tarter.
Just
as in human medicine there are benefits to preventive
medicine. Avoiding problems is always better than
treating pain and sickness.
Regular
checkups, at least every 6 months, is the best way to
minimize the risk of your pet getting sick.
